There are many under-appreciated/struggling writers whose work goes unheard or unappreciated which might make them go to several extremes. Just watched one of my favorite movies “3 Idiots” today and recalled a small write up that I wrote earlier about the under-appreciated writer’s struggles and about the stereotypical societal perspective towards their careers. Here’s a simple write up that I wrote almost 2 years ago. Hope you guys like it :)

A Fight For Life

I thought that I’d write,
Not to fear the competition fight
But to have a better insight
About how a simple write up
Can change one’s life in a night

I am in fright,
If I can make my future bright
“Writing takes you nowhere”
Said the world with a glare,
Then I thought it’d be right
To listen to the world and take that plight
Of dropping what I feel is right

I knew I couldn't take it any longer
But I had to stand stronger
With my thoughts upright,
I decided to start a fight
Between me and my thoughts
Which couldn’t speak but be a light
To guide me about what I should do
And tell me that I should write

Every night there’s a war,
Between writing and my future where I wish to earn Louis D’or,
The catastrophe here is a classical tragedy
Where every second human is stuck in its future analogy
Being helpless at this stage
There’s only one thing that can be uncaged
That’s me and my thoughts
Because all my life, they’re the ones that fought.
